Abstract
A survey of feeding practices of day care centers in Korea was conducted from June of 1983 to May of 1984, to observe dietary management of young children, with cooperation of the Ministry of Home Affairs. Researchers mailed prepared questionnaires to inquire all about feeding management, to the 1709-day care centers in Korea. However, the rate of response to the questions was found as low as 277 or 17% of those day care centers. A feeding program as an integral part of the total day care program, varied such as lunch, snack, or snack and lunch services, depend on various local conditions.
The study identified that the development of nutrition guide and recipes on day care feeding, and training of its personnel would be needed to improve this feeding system.
